ValkyonHQ:Valkyon Delegates
A Valkyon Delegate is a group of community members that, in the form of a guild, are spreading high quality fan made content and contributing, helping the whole community. This task is also an essential part of the Valkyon Headquarters and we want to reward these groups by promoting them in our main page and awarding them with an exclusive badge, present in their Guild articles and sites.
Becoming a Valkyon Delegate is no trifle. The core team of ValkyonHQ itself, based on their own research, will have the final word regarding the inclusion and the removal of new guilds from the program. Below is a list with the minimum requirements one must meet and all the information candidates must know.

[edit] Minimum requisites
All candidates must have, with no exception, the single real requirement to be eligible: perseverance. Although every community member might have the urge to contribute in some way TERA is a MMORPG, therefore there will always be updates, patches, new features or removed content. Perseverance is an inestimable quality needed to be aware of these changes and get used to them. In addition, all the chosen candidates will need a guild page in order to be included into the rotation and enjoy all the benefits.
[edit] Qualities of a candidate
A candidate for Valkyon Delegate have their unique qualities that distinguish them from the rest but still tend to have a focus based on their own priorities, which might be:
- A healthy activity: its members might be found lurking their threads of interest in the official forums, posting their points of view in their different pursuits.
- Sharing knowledge: its members compile and share their knowledge with the rest of the community in the form of translations, videos and/or guides.
- Roleplaying: contrary to those making guides or videos some candidates might like to engage in roleplaying activities and its promotion.
- Mobilization: because sometimes it is not enough to be part of the community, it has to be mobilized and introduced into a variety of activities!
[edit] Becoming a Valkyon Delegate
Valkyon Delegates are chosen by two factors: themselves and the final word of the core team. Those usually are the guilds or candidates themselves who have proven to be exceptional and community friendly over the course of time, but not all guilds desire to be candidates. For this reason there are two ways to become one:
- Application: Interested guilds are free to apply for Valkyon Delegate. There is not any sort of form to fill; your own actions are the best cover letter you have. Just send us a mail to bureaucracy (at) valkyonhq (dot) com telling us about your guild, its interests and its engagement in the community!
- Invitation: Valkyon Headquarters might contact those guilds who see fit for this standing based on their own research and knowledge.
[edit] Benefits
The big deal of becoming a Valkyon Delegate is that the community has been provided with high quality resources and activities, and those who promote these should be rewarded too!
All Valkyon Delegates will—
- be featured in the main page rotation: their logo and a small text of around 400 characters will be included into the Valkyon Delegate rotation, including a link to their guild article;
- enjoy an exclusive badge: each guild will be awarded with an exclusive badge with their logo and the Valkyon Delegate slogan: “By and For the Community!”; and
- more features that will be revealed soon!
[edit] Removal
Like real life itself, some guilds might stop contributing or simply disband. If that happens, Valkyon Headquarters has the right to revoke the status of Valkyon Delegate from a guild, claiming “inactivity” if the aforementioned lost its engagement for three months or “demise” for those who sadly left us and disbanded.
[edit] Clauses and notes
- By applying and being chosen the candidate allows Valkyon Headquarters to use and slightly modify its logo to insert it in the creation of the exclusive badge. Valkyon Headquarters will not make use of the aforesaid logo for any other purpose.
- Valkyon Headquarters reserves the right to refuse admission.
